Willener Ellerbee was born in Dillon, S.C., Feb. 27, 1926 to Foya Edwards Ellerbee and Herbert Ellerbee. From this union were three children: Esther Lee, Willener and another sibling who preceded her in death, as well as her mother and father. Willener received her formal education in Dillon, S.C. and attended high school there. At 23, she began working at St Eugene's Hospital, in Dillon, S.C., caring for newborns. She loved her job and remained in the medical field throughout her life. Willener accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at 30. She affectionately referred to her grandmother, Hannah Edwards, as the person who instilled Godly values in her as a child. Willener relocated to New York at the age of 35 and worked as a domestic for many years before obtaining her diploma and certificate to work as an aide caring for special children at Richmond Children's Center in Mt. Vernon and Yonkers, N.Y. She retired from this facility in 1967. Willener became a member of Bethel Gospel Tabernacle in 1978 under the leadership of Bishop Roderick R. Caesar, Sr. and Bishop Roderick Caesar, Jr. For 25 years, she sang in the Full Gospel Choir and attended the Bethel Bible Institute, graduating with biblical certificates. In October 2003, Willener relocated to Suffolk, Va. and became a member of Faith Deliverance Christian Center under the pastorate of Pastor Dr. Sharon S. Riley and Bishop Dr. Barbara M. Amos, founder. Willener leaves to mourn her goddaughter, Pearl Hedgspeth, Pearl’s siblings and relatives who also accepted her as a member of their family, Charlotte Edwards, cousin, Francis and Pete Ellerbee, cousins, John Oliver Edwards, great, great, nephew and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Claudia Stevenson, neighbor, Deacons Donald and Darlene Peterson, Natalie and Roger Grayson, the staff at Autumn Care of Suffolk Nursing Home and the entire FDCC family.

Nicole My prayers are with your family. May Christ heartwarming promise comfort you, John 5:28,29
