Ester Napiza Gonzales, 82, passed away on April 13, 2017 at her home in Norfolk, Virginia. Ester was born to Mauricio and Concordia Napiza on November 17, 1934 in Manila, Philippines. She had three brothers (Rogelio, Ernesto, and Ben) along with four sisters (Rosing, Leonora, Luring, and Leony). On January 31, 1954, Ester married Jose Cruz Gonzales. They had eight children: Josie, Armi, Rickie, Edgar, Emil, Efren, Edwin, and Elyson. Ester and Jose resided with their family in Manila, Philippines until they immigrated to the United States in June 1987. Ester enjoyed cooking traditional Filipino dishes for family and friends as well as taking care of her grandchildren. Ester had 17 grandchildren: Leslie Ann, Maizie, King, Desiree, Rosemarie, Maridelle, Borgy, Christopher, Carl, Christine, EJ, Paolo, Patrick, Philip, Preston, Sam, and Joseph. She was the great-grandmother to Selena, Miggy, Janus, and Janneana. Ester was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by: her husband, children, son-in-laws, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Linda To the Family. Losing a love one in death is a trying time for all. I just want to give the family some comfort and hope from God's word, which gives the assurance that one day we will see our dear love ones again. ACTS 24:15 And I have a hope toward God, which hope these(men) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteuos and the unrighteous. Certainly while we await for these wonderful promise, I hope the family truly find comfort knowing this wonderful hope from Gods word.
