Augustus “Gus” Riddick, left us to be with our heavenly father on March 19, 2017. He was born on September 3, 1939 to the late Elias Riddick and the late Aberta Hill. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Florida Joe Bell. “Gus” was educated in the Norfolk Public School System and retired from Norshipco (Berkley) after working there for over 44 years. “Gus had a strong passion for watching westerns, airplanes, baseball and drag racing. He was a man who was very private, but if you were a visitor in his home a few things you would experience or encounter was having to watch westerns, it being extremely hot in the house, getting a mouth full for touching his airplanes or hearing something about having the business aspect of your life in order. Gus was predeceased by his wife, Jane Riddick; father, Elias Riddick; mother, Aberta Hill; grandmother, Florida Joe Bell and brother, Vernon Riddick. He leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Theresa Bryant; brothers, Judson Riddick (Gertie) and Luther Riddick; grandson, Anthony Bryant; granddaughter, Tarshita Bryant; great friend, Geneva Lee, Enoch Alexander (Ethel) and other relatives and friends.

Linda To the Family. Losing a love one in death is a trying time for all. I just want to give the family some comfort and hope from God's word, which gives the assurance that one day we will see our dear love ones again. ACTS 24:15 And I have a hope toward God, which hope these(men) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteuos and the unrighteous. Certainly while we await for these wonderful promise, I hope the family truly find comfort knowing this wonderful hope from Gods word.

Teresa Lee Schaffer To the family of Mr. Riddick. I am the daughter of the late Levern J. Lee and Mrs. Geneva Lee. Although we knew Mr. Riddick health was failing, his passing was still a shock to our family. Mr. Riddick was a family friend close to 50 years. Our family hope you find comfort in knowing that he isn't in pain anymore and is at rest. If you need anything, you know how to find my mother. Submitted by Teresa Lee Schaffer on behalf of Mrs. Geneva Lee
