William “W.P.” Patrick Clarke Jr. of the 300 block of Fernwood Farms Road, went quietly to be with his Lord on November 4, 2017. He was a native of Norfolk, Va. And born August 3, 1935, the only son, to the late William Patrick Clarke, Sr. and the late Elmira Edmonds Williams. W.P. was a former member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He retired from Greyhound Trailways Bus Service and after 35 years of service as a bus driver. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School (Norfolk, VA) and attend Norfolk State University. W.P. was a current member of Vicksville Hunting Club in Sedley, Va. W.P. is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife, and caregiver, Gloria Clarke; six devoted children, William P. Clarke, III (Phyllis), Rev. Sherrese Clarke Wade (Larry), Gloria Womack, Kenneth Womack (Diane), Carl Womack (Tonya), and Diane Womack; eight grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
