Our LORD GOD, in his infinite wisdom, mercy and goodness, has taken home our loved one, Lorraine Elizabeth Scott-Rogan from this earthly confinement. He has prepared a place for her in his kingdom of love and compassion. Lorraine quietly answered the call to be with the LORD with open arms Saturday morning, January 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born in Norfolk County (Chesapeake) on April 30, 1938. She was the second oldest of four children from the union of the late James and Julia Scott. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Jean Wood and brother Leslie Scott. Lorraine received her education in the Chesapeake Public School System. She worked for the Chesapeake School System as a cafeteria worker at various schools. She later became a homemaker and military spouse and traveled with her husband to several military assignments. Lorraine was a member of New Willow Grove Baptist Church since an early age. She was member of the Mother’s Board. Lorraine was the loving caregiver of her family. Her passion was always to be there for her family and to support them endlessly. No task was too small or too big for her when it came to taking care of her loved ones. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She leaves to cherish her memory of 47 years, her devoted husband James Rogan; loving and devoted daughters, Caffie Wood and Alveeta Hose; her loving brothers, James and Benjamin Scott (Phyllis); precious granddaughters, Jessica, Arrington, Caressa and Rihanna; nieces, Catherine, DeVaine (Lawrence), Michelle, Sonja and Tomeka (Michael); nephew, Randy (Terry), eight great nieces; in-laws Calvin Wood and Eddie Scruggs; cousin Marie Boggs and also a host of many other family members and friends.

Lisa I’m truly sorry for the loss of your loved one. We look forward to the day when all those in the memorial tombs will hear Christ voice and come out, John 5:28,29 Please go to JW.org for more encouragement.

VIDA l ELSAYED Dear Uncle Jimmy and Family. I am so sadded to hear about the loss of your beloved Wife. I know her daughters, brothers and other close family members, will truly miss her to the highest. Aunt Lorraine always took good care of me, when visiting, like a daughter. She was a Lady of Wisdom, thoughtful, beautiful smile, much laughter, the best cook in Virginia, but most of all, loved her family tremendously. There are no words to express, my sorrow for the loss of her. Peace and Blessings.

The Edmonds Family We send you our deepest sympathy. Words cannot console when we have lost someone we love in death. The Bible brings us much comfort. Revelation 21:3, 4 states that God will do away with all causes we have for suffering, as well as sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted us and it is our hope that these thoughts will comfort you and your family as well.
