Edward Lee Williams was born to the union of Edward Vincent Williams Sr. and Katie Mae Clark Williams on June 24, 1954 in Chesapeake, VA. Edward departed this life peacefully to be with the lord on June 25, 2011. He resided in Chesapeake with his wife, Lolita Williams, whom he loved dearly. Edward attended Booker T. Washington High School, Norfolk Public Schools. He served in the United States Air Force before becoming a Master Mason. Edward not only read the word of our Lord but he studied the word. He also wrote interpretations of the word in a practical manner in which all people could understand. His five children, Sharelle Goodson, Jeremy Goodson, Erica Goodson-Lawrence (Marlen, husband), Eboni Branch-Moore (Rodney, husband), and Allen Langley (Sharise, wife) are left to cherish his memory; he also had nine grandchildren, Daevon, Dajonna, Dymond, Marcus, Endiya, Sydney, Leah, Mystor and Syncere. Edward was one of fifteen children; (brothers), Jessie Williams, Edward V. Williams Jr., Andrew Williams, Wallace Williams, Allen Williams, Tony Williams and Vincent Hinton; (sisters), Ethel Hinton, Catherine Williams, Shirley Wilmer, Beatrice Trowell-Seymore, Patricia Kelly, Benita Turner, and Pamela Williams. Edward Williams also embraced many others whom he called brothers and sisters.

Tony Henderson God Bless Us All. To the family, my heart is with you all. Ed, say Hello, to Frank & my Mom. Man; we went to school together, played on the same basketball teams at Granby Pk. Played football with the big boys when they said we were too small in Chesterfield Heights. That was the last conversation you and I had about the good times. Ps, thanks for speaking with my son. You rock dude!

Rev. Rogina Williams I was so moved by the service of remembrance celebrating the life and legacy of my "fun-loving and humorous" cousin, Ed! I shall forever recall the reunion at Miss Kate's homegoing service a few months ago where he had me in stitches! Thank you, cux, for showing us how to laugh!

Russell Williams, Jr. Even though we hadn't kept in contact through the years since I moved to Atlanta, I will always remember our elementary school days of playing pool at my house everyday after school. We also got our first summer jobs together at the Naval Air Station. Though a sad time this past December, I really appreciated Ed and I reconnecting and sharing a good laugh. Ed was quite the comic at that time and I'm glad that I have that memory of him for years to come. Circmumstances prevented me from being there but please know that you (his wife, children and the entire Williams family)are in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord keep you day by day. I love you all.
