Floyd Bryant, 67, of Norfolk, VA peacefully slipped into eternal rest on Thursday September 28, 2017. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on November 9, 1949, he was the son of the late Emanuel Bryant and Clara Moore-Bryant. Floyd attended Booker T. Washington High School and later became an Army veteran. He held multiple occupations over the years including Welder and Truck Driving until he fell ill. He had a nurturing spirit and adored and enjoyed spending time with family, playing chess, fishing, and watching westerns. Floyd was also preceded in death by his son, Steven Smith. Left to cherish his memory are 3 daughters, Denise Bryant-Walk, and Betty Mack (Maurice), Debora Rogers; 3 sons, Floyd Quinerly (Eveline), John Quinerly (Nikosha),and Nathaniel Clapp, sisters, Leatha Mae Bryant, Georgia Lee Sloan-Bryant, Clara Ellis, Eleanor Brevard, and Dorothy Stone-Taylor, brother Emanuel Bryant, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
