John Rocco Freeman, 52, peacefully transitioned on March 21, 2017. He was born July 22, 1964 in Warren, Ohio to the late Mae Rogers Freeman Griffin and Thomas R. Galbreath. John was affectionately known as “Rock Rock” Freeman. John was a graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School in 1982, where he played football and was on the wrestling team. He also attended and graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburg and with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. He proudly served in the United States Army, 18th Airborne Division. He received the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge. He worked for Lifetouch National School Studious for over 20 years, where he was a production supervisor at the time of his death. He enjoyed drawing, watching movies and was a die hard “Steelers” fan. He spent every Monday and Sunday supporting his team in all of his “Steelers” gear literally from head to toe. He married the former Renee L. Rawlings who he met in high school, May 30, 1992. John leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 24 years Renee L. Freeman; one daughter, Jocelyn Elizabeth Freeman; one sister, Bridgette (Moses) Freeman-Green, of Austintown, Ohio; two brothers, Lawrence W. (Kathy) Freeman Jr., of Columbus, Ohio, Warren E. Freeman Sr., of Warren, Ohio; he was loved by nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfathers, Tommy L. Griffin who helped raise him and Lawrence Wyman Freeman, Sr. We salute you as you fly high into the sky on the wings of love straight onto your father’s arms where you will have eternal peace…….

Linda To the Family. Losing a love one in death is a trying time for all. I just want to give the family some comfort and hope from God's word, which gives the assurance that one day we will see our dear love ones again. ACTS 24:15 And I have a hope toward God, which hope these(men) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteuos and the unrighteous. Certainly while we await for these wonderful promise, I hope the family truly find comfort knowing this wonderful hope from Gods word.
