Dorothy Williams Scott of the 3000 block of Brest Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia was born on February 16, 1922. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in the Norfolk Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Williams and Mamie William. Dorothy grew up in the Lambert’s Point area of Norfolk, where she received her formal education in the Norfolk Public School System. She was employed at Old Dominion University for many years in the Janitorial Department. She enjoyed cooking and was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Dorothy was predeceased by her two sons, Dennis O. Scott and Otto S. Scott (Janet). She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Carlton Scott (Anita); a sister, Mildred Burress (Luther); five grandchildren, Latorya, Caranita, Rashiek, Tiara and Dennis; one step-granddaughter, Nyeshai; four great grandchildren, Tiyannai, Markayla, Kweisi, and Omega; one niece, Penelope Milladge; on nephew, Luther Burress, III and a host of other relatives and friends.
