Odessa was born on June 21, 1942 in Capron, VA. She went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2017. She was born on June 21, 1942 to the late Elizabeth and Walter Turner. She was also predeceased by her husband, Cottrell Johnson and brother, Edward Turner. She attended Booker T. Washington High School. She was a childcare provider, as well as a private duty nurse. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She leaves behind on array of beautiful daughters, Sabrina Barnes, Sherrie Grad Jennewein, Terrie Jones (Lawrence) and Carla Adams; one brother, Peter Turner; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She had tons of friends and family who loved her dearly. She will be truly missed by all.

Linda To the Family. Losing a love one in death is a trying time for all. I just want to give the family some comfort and hope from God's word, which gives the assurance that one day we will see our dear love ones again. ACTS 24:15 And I have a hope toward God, which hope these(men) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteuos and the unrighteous. Certainly while we await for these wonderful promise, I hope the family truly find comfort knowing this wonderful hope from Gods word.
