Helen Marie Fulmore Caughman was born on November 12, 1939 in Dillon, Sc to the late Crayton and Daisy Mae Fulmore. Crayton and Daisy made a decision to relocate and brought their children Doris and Helen to the lower east side of New York for a better life. Helen loved the city. She enjoyed dancing, singing, roller skating and swimming in the East river and local pools. In NY she met and married the love of her life, Joseph Caughman Sr. Helen and her Bonnie (as he was fondly called) bore five children. Joseph Jr., Earl Warren Sr.(who preceded her in death) Kim Caughman Sr., Sherrilynn Caughman and Monique Caughman. Helen started her career when the youngest children became school age. She began nursing but quit and chose a job with more flexibility to care for her children. Helen worked and retired at Screen Actors Guild after 18 years service. Family was everything to Helen. She loved her especially children and only wanted the best for them. The lord granted Helen her final wish to attend her grandsons wedding. On Friday July 7, 2107 Helen departed this earth peacefully in her sleep. She leaves behind two sons and her two daughters, Joseph Jr., Kim, Sherrilynn and Monique; her sister, Doris Sears; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
