Robert Lee Foreman, Sr. a renaissance man, was born on August 31, 1942 to Jerry and Wilma Foreman of Pensacola, Florida. He was the sixth child of eight children. He was educated in New York City Public Schools. While attending high school he met his true love Marjorie Staten, who became his lifelong partner of 57 years whom he married October 16, 1960. From this union came three sons Robert Lee Jr., Anthony Edward, Kevin Kinard (Precious). Although he only had three sons he was a dad to many. He was affectionately known as Dad, Grandpa, Rob Lee, Bob, Pop, Elder Foreman, and Minister. Why we call him a renaissance man, he was an artist whose artwork was still on display in New York City Public Schools after 20 years. He was a 5th degree black belt and had his own martial arts school, where he performed demonstrations for the public. Although his day job was as a diesel mechanic for 30 years with Ryder Trucking, he was known as “Mr. Fix It,” providing a number of different services. Even though he wasn’t gifted with song he would always sing “Jesus Loves Me.” He was baptized at 15. In his 30s God had a calling on his life. He rededicated his life to Christ at Apostolic Temple of Jesus Christ (Jamaica, NY). His mother always said to him “You are my minster,” her vision came true upon him becoming a deacon then minister of Christ. After a conversation with his wife he said, “God has called me out to be an Elder” and he began to study for eldership. He was ordained an Elder in Savannah, GA. Throughout his saved life Elder Foreman always had an open heart and open mind to all people. While he held a number of roles within the church, one of his passions was for Outreach which included visiting the sick and shut in, feeding and clothing those in need, prison ministry and witnessing about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved the youth and took pride in mentoring young men. As a favorite pastime, he loved to watch sports. He had a special affection for the community of Uniondale, the neighborhood boys of Winthrop Drive and the only two girls Rose and Easter. After his retirement, he relocated to Suffolk, VA. In his search for a new church family he became a member of Christ Church Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Robert Baker Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters and brothers Bernice, Kenneth, Leslie Ann, Vicki and Orlando. His three grandchildren, Olivia, Camille and Anthony; and sister in laws Patricia, Loretta, Anetha, and Vivian. His special family member Wendy Giles. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Lorna (Ann) Barrett RIP Mr Foreman. You were an man of God,so I know you are in heaven.

No words can ever express when losing a love one such as Robert Lee. Always remember God is your strength and the great memories Robert Lee has left. You all will remain in my prayers.
