Matthew 5: 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Justin David Taylor poet, musician, vocalist, and friend was born June 12, 1992 to parents Alvin Taylor and Nancy Christine Taylor. A beautiful, intelligent, smiling, blue eyed expression of God’s love. Justin was a proud and accomplished percussionist of the Indian River High School Marching Band. In fact, he was the Drumline Captain. He also competed in the Dominion Storm Indoor Drumline. He graduated with Honors from Indian River High School with an Advanced Diploma. Justin’s passion for music has been a source of enjoyment, encouragement and rhapsody for many; often using the stage name Justice. Justin was an accomplished salesman most recently at Priority Honda Chesapeake, and previously, Southern Greenbrier Chrysler Jeep. People trusted him and respected his input. He also worked for Paramount Builders as a sales representative. He thrived in each of these positions. Justin was a loyal, compassionate and inspiring friend. Many of his friends shared that when they were lost, it was him that God used to bring them back to a place where they could think clearly. His friends say they are honored to be his friend, his family blessed to love him, know him and share a plethora of amazing memories. He always extended a kind word, protection, and love. He was a gift. Justin leaves to cherish his memory: his father Al Taylor; his mother Nancy Christine Allen and stepfather Marvin Allen Sr.; four brothers: Gerald (Amber) Rucker, Kevin Taylor, Marvin Allen Jr., Stavion Bell; two sisters: Jocelyn (Chad) Lawrence and Jasmine Allen; his Grandparents: Lt. Col. Samuel L. Rucker, ret. (Harriett), Leola Rucker, Alvin D. Taylor, Sr. and Barbara Taylor; four aunts, one uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Jasmine Allen Justin, Though I never had the chance to spend a lot of time with you due to distance, I'm sooo happy to have met you the day my father and your mom married. I immediately noticed your sweet and loving spirit. And, that little time of getting to know you, the conversations were natural, friendly, and funny. You will forever be in all of our hearts Justin.
