Roland Howard Alexcee, Jr. better known as “Howie” was called home on January 24, 2018 after an extended stay at Kindred Hospital in S. Tampa, Florida. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 29, 1962. He graduated from Francis T. Nichols High School in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1980. He later joined the United States Navy where he served 20 years and retired. Roland received many honors. Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (4 times) Humanitarian Service Metal, Good Conduct Meal (4) times, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy and Marine Overseas Service Ribbon and Navy Ribbon and Navy and Marine Corps. He was stationed in California and Virginia on the USS Carl Vinson Aircraft Carrier. He was stationed in Virginia with his family and retired too. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family and was always willing to help others out with a smile. He was a faithful member at Mt. Lebanon Baptist in Norfolk, Virginia. He was predeceased by his father Roland Howard Alexcee, Sr., 2 brothers Kenneth and Raymond, Sr., Alexcee all of New Orleans and a mother in law Ufue Gaskins of Norfolk, Virginia. He leaves to cherish his mother, Frances Alexcee of New Orleans, wife of 35 years Michelle Alexcee of Chesapeake, Virginia, 2 beautiful daughters Rolanda Alexcee of Norfolk, LaRhonda Alexcee of Chesapeake, 4 sisters Judy Andrews (Julius), Pamela Smith, Lynette Alexcee of New Orleans and Rolanda Smalls of Rayford, North Carolina, 2 brothers Keith Alexcee of New Orleans and Richard Alexcee of San Diego, California, six grandchildren Zion, Ziyanna, ZaRyah Alexcee all of Norfolk, Virginia, Kayvon, LaShae, Jaicion Alexcee of Chesapeake; father-in-law, Roger Gaskins of Norfolk, Virginia and a goddaughter Brandy Allen of Chesapeake, 4 brothers-in-law, 3 sister-in-law a host of nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Kindred Hospital. Roland Howard Alexcee, Jr. (aka) Howie will truly be missed.
