Marcus was born July 5th, 2010 in Martinez, California; he died March 14, 2017 at Leigh Memorial Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Marcus was an inquisitive, determined and strong-willed child; interested in everything and always full of questions. He was sweet, kind, and mischievous; he loved to play hide and seek, to try to escape, and to use his squirt gun on his friends at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. His smile, laugh, and playful nature brought such light and joy to those who had the pleasure of knowing Marcus. He was the best snuggler ever, and always gave great hugs. Marcus loved a challenge, he loved to learn. He loved books, he loved to read braille, he loved to listen to stories on his player, and welcomed the opportunity to have a friend read to him. He especially loved the “Magic Tree House” series and anything Disney. He loved numbers, was gifted at math, and played a mean game of cards. He loved cars and trucks of all kinds and never had enough of them. He loved music, especially songs from Disney movies, “Frozen” was his very favorite. Marcus delighted in getting messy with sand, water, and paint. Marcus loved nothing better than playing with his best buddy and little brother, William. He helped all of us be the best version of ourselves, he will be truly miss and will hold a hugs place in our hearts. Marcus was in first grade at Luxford Elementary School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Marcus is survived by his mother, Natalya Lowman, his brother, William Lowman, stepfather Dwayne Ellis, stepsister Raven Ellis, his Gigi, Natanya Bland, Pop Pop, Toye Bland, his aunts Zsoelle Cressman, Krystal Manley, and Soroya Lowman and uncles Xavier Bartley and Isaiah Lowman, many other relatives who were special to Marcus and his chosen family at Children Hospital of the Kings Daughter’s and Luxford Elementary School.

Linda To the Family. Losing a love one in death is a trying time for all. I just want to give the family some comfort and hope from God's word, which gives the assurance that one day we will see our dear love ones again. ACTS 24:15 And I have a hope toward God, which hope these(men) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteuos and the unrighteous. Certainly while we await for these wonderful promise, I hope the family truly find comfort knowing this wonderful hope from Gods word.

The Edmonds Family We send you our deepest sympathy. Words cannot console when we have lost someone we love in death. The Bible provides the finest basis for encouragement. 2Corinthians 1:3,4 calls God "the God of all Comfort." Just imagine, being comforted by a God who knows what we need to bring us joy and to cope. I hope this Scripture will bring some comfort to you and your family.
