George Samuel Seagraves, Sr., departed this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in Chesapeake, VA. He was born on May 1, 1928 in Pine Bluff, NC, to the late, George Washington and Annabelle Seagraves. George worked and retired from Colonial Stores Warehouse, Norfolk, VA, after 40 years of dedicated service as a truck driver. He was generous to all with his warm and contagious smile. George was predeceased by his mother and father, two brothers, five sisters, and one son, Ralph Allen Seagraves. He is survived by his devoted wife of 71 years, Emily R. Seagraves; two sons, Sherwood Seagraves (Carolyn) and George Seagraves, Jr.; six grandchildren, Sherwood Seagraves (Lea), Allen Seagraves (Chandra), Portia Seagraves, Timothy Anthony, Beverly Broudus, Angela Anthony, and Timothy Anthony; six great grandchildren; and many nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, neighbors, and friends.

Beverly Broadus Ilove and will miss my Grandfather.He was such a good man and his great grandchildren love him dearly. Have lived 89 years and married for 71years to my Grandmother Emily Says a whole lot.Look forward to seeing my Grandfather again when Jehovah got transform this earth into a paradise earth.
