Bernice Washington-Cox, 65, transitioned into victory and eternal rest on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Norfolk General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Dillard and Henry Oscar Dillard,Sr. She was affectionately known as "Poochie "by family and friends. Her favorite pastimes were traveling, shopping, enjoying a wonderful meal, laughing ,sharing time with friends and family, and serving the homeless. With a deep conviction and trust in God, Bernice overcame much in her life. With a confident and assured spirit she touched many who crossed her path. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Charles F. Cox; two daughters, QuoVadis W. Brown (Johnny) and Sharrief Washington; brothers, Ronney L. Washington (Renay), and Henry O. Dillard, Jr; two aunts, Gwendolyn Lovely (Willie), Carthenia Brown, and many cousins, family and friends. She will also be missed by her three grandchildren, Joshua Washington, Kai Washington-Brown, and Kameron Washington-Brown.

Linwood and Vanessa We will miss our dear Sister Friend. She was One Of A Kind and an Amazing Woman! May the Good Lord bless and comfort you all and may you find peace in knowing that she is free and safe in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
