On Friday, February 3, 2012 the book of life unfurled its final chapter upon the life of Clairneise Mitchell Dickens. Jesus called her name and the shades of life were drawn on our beloved mother, sister, aunt, compassionate friend and person. Clairneise was born on October 3, 1952 to the late Clearthur L. and Susie M. Mitchell. She was a native of Norfolk, attended Portsmouth Public Schools and then went on to study and receive her CNA certification. She worked as a nurse’s assist at Portsmouth General Hospital and Manning Nursing Home in Portsmouth for many years. She had a great desire to help others which was evident by her occupation. As well as, being the neighborhood eyes for all the youth. Her church affiliation was Mount Hermon Baptist Church and the, True Vine Deliverance Church of Norfolk. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Charles Dickens. She leaves with blessed memories 1 son, Craig Dickens, 3 sisters, Susie Blunt, Regina Mitchell and Phyllis Mitchell; 1 brother, Melvin Mitchell and a host of other relatives and friends.
