On Friday, November 10, 2017, our fun-loving, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Mr. David Edward Jackson peacefully transitioned from this world into his eternal rest. Jack was born March 1, 1957, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Lena and the late Clyde Jackson. He was affectionately known as “Action Jackson or Jack” to friends and loved ones. Jack worked as a Maintenance II Worker with the City of Norfolk for several years always displaying what a hardworking employee is all about. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; cooking out with friends and family, singing (never knowing the words to the songs), dancing, and spending time with his siblings, children, granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Jack had this uncanny ability to reach people in a deep positive way. He leaves to cherish all those fond memories, his son and daughter, Brandy and Calvin Freeman; two brothers, Alexander and Clyde Jackson; four sisters, April (Lecta) Williams, Michelle (Jerome) Simpson, Evelyn McIntosh, Ruby (Michael) Hendricks; one granddaughter, Nya Freeman and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Jack will sorely be missed by all that were touched by his life.

Sharon Blanchard Losing our loved ones isn't easy but the light of God shines through all darkness. Family,I pray that the great memories David/Jack shared individually with each one of us fill our hearts with joy. May the peace of God provide strength when needed for all understanding of his will.
