Vernon Curtis “Tuck” Bonner passed away on October 10, 2017. He was born in Norfolk, VA on December 13, 1949. Vernon was the son of the late Sophia and Richard Bonner, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bonner, Jr. and sisters, Barbara Bonner, Delores Giles, and Lillie Jones. Vernon was a graduate of Maury High School, where he excelled in his studies and was a trombone player of the school band. He later attended and graduated with honors from Norfolk State University. He was a member of the Spartan Marching Legion. He was a member of St. Mark RZUA Church of Norfolk, VA and sang on the Young Adult Choir. Vernon loved music and being around family and friends. He had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. In his younger years he would be the one people would rally around to hear and enjoy the latest music, whether secular or spiritual. He had a sense of style and fashion that was admired and emulated but duplicated. Vernon enjoyed reading all types of books and kept abreast of the latest news. He was an intellectual and would start up a conversation posing questions on current matters, and in return, enriching your thoughts. We thank God for this blessed soul who touched our lives in special ways. He leaves to cherish his memories; two sisters, Dorothy Waddy and Jean Thomas; one brother, Earl Bonner; one brother-in-law; Julius “Jack” Waddy; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Tonya King My deepest sympathies to your family, may your family have peace at this time John 5:28;29 may the God of comfort give your family the strength to endure the pain and the sorrow
