On Thursday, December 9, 1954, Mr. Willie James Dixon, Sr. and the late Mrs. Delores C. Dixon welcomed Linwood Hayes Dixon to this world in Norfolk, Virginia. Linnie or Hotdog, as he was affectionally called, attended Norfolk Public School System. “Linnie” worked in the Labor Shop for 15 years at BAE Systems until his health started to decline. On Saturday, March 10, 2018 our beloved Linwood made his transition from this life into heaven. Preceding him in death was his mother, Delores C. Dixon; two brothers Dwayne T. and Carlton D. Dixon; maternal grandparents Alonzo and Beatrice Fitchett; paternal grandparents William and Effie Dixon. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father Willie James Dixon, Sr.; daughter, Selma Moore; step daughter Erica Joyce; son, Samuel Spruill; step son, Earl Joyce; three sisters, Denise Dixon, Rhonda Dixon Douglas (Ralph), Felecia Wood Phyllis Young; brothers, Willie Dixon, Jr. (April), Kevin Wood; half-brothers, Sherman Wood (Tonya), Donnell Wood; five grandchildren; fiancé, Catherine Joyce, special friends Anthony Barnes, Wilbur Dickens and a host of other relatives and friends.
