Mrs. Brenda Regina Forbes, went home to be with her heavenly father on the afternoon of September 13, 2017. Brenda Forbes was born on December 6, 1950 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Moses and Addie Mae Williams of Norfolk, Virginia. She was predeceased by her oldest sister, Mrs. Mozella Howard of Brooklyn, NY. She met and married the love of her life Joseph Forbes on January 5, 1972 (45 years). She was educated in Norfolk Public Schools and attended Booker T. Washington High School. Brenda was employed at Norfolk Shipyard (Johnathan) for over 10 years. She was also employed at Life Touch National School Studio for 16 years which she retired from and Albano Cleaners for over 6 years. Truly she was an amazing woman who was always dedicated to all she did. Left to cherish her loving memories are her children, Ms. Velda Clayton, daughter; Steven Griffin, stepson and granddaughter, Juliet; Amzina Clayton, granddaughter; grandson, Conrad Clayton; three great grandsons, ShaQuan Clayton, Tony Brown and Anthony Brown; her brother, Melvin J. Williams; her niece who was like a daughter to her, Antoinette Speller; great niece, Mrs. Taliah Fuller & family, Mrs. Charde’ Davis (Terrell) & family; nephew, Mr. Ermeine Speller & family of Portsmouth, VA and Sha’Reen Fuller & family of Richmond, VA and a host of relatives, lifelong friends, co-workers and neighbors who deeply loved and will miss her.

Uncle Joe saying good bye to someone we live so dearly can be heart breaking may you find comfort knowing she'll be watching over you...
