For Quanta, praise and worship just came naturally. She was brought up in ministry having started at the early age of four when Bishop Lawrence and 1st Lady Campbell allowed her and her siblings to sing at church and eventually on the Bibleway Cathedral radio broadcast. Quanta was born in Danville, Virginia on February 3rd, 1972 to Clyde and Jeanette Clark. Her parents were both avid gospel choir singers though her father Clyde was partial to quartet. She is the 2nd of 3 sisters; the elder Maria Clark and Tiffany Burton the youngest and one brother, Thomas Keen. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. As a teenager Quanta began travelling with various gospel music groups. Over the years she has shared the stage with world renowned artists such as Timothy Wright, The Clark Sisters, Hezekiah Walker, Walter Hawkins, Donald Lawrence, Shirley Caesar and many others. At the age of 20 Quanta was encouraged by her best friend Martina Taylor, now Pastor Martina Echols, to enroll at Danville Community College where she became the choir director. Then one day a drafting and design student, Antoine St. Lawrence approached her and offered to play bass for the choir. From then on, they would be inseparable, building a loving family and strong marriage just short of 26 years would be March 12, 2018. Together they raised four children, three sons; DeAnthony, Antoine II (deceased) & Andrew and one daughter; Quantia who gave them their only grandchild; Joshua Demar Romero Jr. In 2008 Quanta began losing her sight but as her natural vision got weaker, her spiritual vision grew stronger. By 2009 she was totally blind and even after losing a leg to vascular disease she had already begun walking in a prophetic anointing. Hers was a dynamic blend of "Rhema Worship" using both music and prophecy to usher the believer into their deliverance. Although she had to endure many tests and trials it was evident that what the devil meant for her destruction, God would use that she would be sanctified, the church would be edified, and He would be glorified. Evangelist St. Lawrence has been a source of inspiration and a pillar of strength for her family the church and all who knew her. She loved fellowship with the saints and her comical resilient spirit shined bright in the lives of so many. She will TRULY be missed.

Sharie Adams It is hard to explain who Quanta was to me. She was whatever I needed in the moment be that mother, sister, friend, auntie, confidant and mentor. Her comical spin on life helped you face enormous challenges. Quanta was the only person who could push me out of my comfort zone the way she did! I am forever grateful for the life she lived and how she changed my life. I'll miss her for as long as I live. I am praying for you guys.
