Eyules Fricks, Jr. was born to Eyules Fricks, Sr. and Bennie Lee Fricks on December 14, 1946 in Decatur, GA. He was the oldest son born to this couple. Eyules, Jr. departed this earthly life October 13, 2017 in Hampton, Virginia. Many people knew him as “E.J.”, his family knew him as “June” but everyone knew how devoted he was to his military career. Eyules retired from the military after doing extended time of 30 years of service. After retiring he couldn’t sit still, he would often call me and tell me he was walking to his special hangout place or he was on the bus going somewhere when he came home to Rockford. June would walk six to seven blocks to hang out on South Main Street. Now mind you that didn’t happen often because he didn’t like the cold weather. June was a big fan of “Elvis Presley”; he knew every song he made. He would sing Karaoke to Elvis at the few family reunions he would attend. E.J. was preceded in death by both of his parents, Eyules Fricks, Sr. and Bennie Fricks; brothers, Garland, Clavon Fricks of Rockford. He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Charles (Pat) Fricks of Rockford, Willie (Jewelene) Fricks of Hampton, Ark, Jimmy (Vanessa) Fricks of Freeport, IL and Clarence Fricks of Rockford; sisters, Shirley Fricks of Rockford, Patricia Fricks of Camden, AK., Pearlie (Dwight) Smith of Camdon, AK, Joyce Fricks of Rockford; and his fiancée, Beatrice Grant, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins from a family so big and full of love to many to name everyone. His fishing friends in Virginia, his friends at the Lafayette grill. So many others he has met in his walk in life, you all had a special spot in his life. For some of you I have the pictures to prove it.
