On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, the Light dimed on this earth and heaven’s light shines bright as our Heavenly Father welcome into his loving arms our mother Sue E,. Hopkins. She was born May 10, 1934 in Littleton, North Carolina. Sue did not have to go to church to know Jesus. She left in reflects in the things she did for others. She carried the love of God everywhere she would go. Sue lived a humble life with grace and dignity. She was a loving mother, grandmother. As a family unit, we would like to say “Thank You Heavenly Father for the time you allowed her to be with us”. Till we see each other again. She was educated in North Carolina Public Schools then moved to Norfolk, Virginia where she was employed by Norfolk Public Schools where she retired from in the 1980’s. Sue leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Alonzo Hopkins, Mack Hopkins, Ray Hopkins, Clarence Hopkins and Tim Hopkins all of Norfolk, VA; two daughters, Gloria Barrett (Leroy) and Delphine Farrow (Ronzo) of Norfolk, VA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sue is preceded in death by her late husband and two sons, Anthony Glen Hopkins and Justice Eric Hopkins; three sisters, Winnie Barker, Sallie Patterson and Martha Dowtin; two brothers, Wiley Watson and Johnny Watson. Farewell to you Sue Hopkins to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Angela Daggs-Martin My condolences to the Hopkins family. I pray God gives you the strength to get you thru this storm. I wasn't able to make it to the funeral but I watched it online. It was a lovely service. Job well done.
