Loretta Johnson was born on January 8, 1937, to the late Willie Craigen and late Ella Hill in Memphis, Tennessee. She went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by family on May 3, 2017. Loretta Craigen married Melvin Johnson. And for 23 years together, they raised her three children, Valorie, Michael, and Reginald. She was a nurse for 20 years at San Pedro Hospital in San Pedro, California. She retired in 1999 and moved to Virginia to be with her daughter Valorie, son-in-law Jack, and grandchildren. Right away, she began attending Calvary Revival Church, where she was a faithful member of the Seniors Ministry. She loved Bishop McBath’s sermons and often purchased the messages to hear them again and share with family. Loretta enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, and spending time with family. Loretta spent a lot of time studying the Bible. In fact, she read the Bible at least three times from Genesis to Revelations. She also read many autobiographies, novels, and fiction books. Loretta was a very disciplined, high character woman. She always believed in doing the right thing, even if it was hard. She paid her bills on time, kept a clean house, and had her affairs in order always. She always told the truth and knew how to keep a secret. Even though she was very disciplined, she also loved to have fun. Every year, she traveled with her senior friends. They went on a cruise, to Broadway productions, and to many musicals. Loretta also loved watching movies and her favorite television shows. She was an all-around great person. For this, family and friends truly cherished her. Loretta always wanted her children to be together. She prayed for her sons to come to Virginia. In 2002, her son Reginald decided to move to Virginia from California. She was truly overjoyed that God answered her prayer. And then in 2015, just as she asked God, her son Michael also relocated to Virginia. Michael and Reginald love the Lord and attend Calvary Revival Church. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter and son-in-law, Valorie and Jack Rose; two sons, Michael and Reginald (Robbin); younger twin sisters, Catherine and Lorraine; granddaughters, Makina (Socorro), Shannon (Matthew), Jacquelin (James), Logan and Ashley; grandsons, Michael Jr, Matthew, and John-Micah; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexander, Makaio, Julia, Socorra, Zion, Jaelynn, Marley, Ashton, James, Joseph, Ziggy, Brooke, and Socorro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sebrina Brown Praying for God's continued comfort. What a blessing to have loved so well, and still love within your hearts. ❣️

Linda To the Family. Losing a love one in death is a trying time for all. I just want to give the family some comfort and hope from God's word, which gives the assurance that one day we will see our dear love ones again. ACTS 24:15 And I have a hope toward God, which hope these(men) themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteuos and the unrighteous. Certainly while we await for these wonderful promise, I hope the family truly find comfort knowing this wonderful hope from Gods word. You can find more comfort from Gods word @ www.JW.org

Mrs. Jordan To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 where we are promised that those who have fallen asleep in death have the hope of receiving a "resurrection" back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, "The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises.
